Acest program (realizat de OH3NJC Ilkka Kontola) este destinat calculării distanţei (în kilometri) şi a unghiului de orientare a antenei (nord=0º, est=90º) între două locaţii. În câmpul "from" se introduce QTH locatorul proriu, de exemplu KN24KU, (YO7AQM, Piteşti, aproximativ 44º51'08''N - 24º52'18''E), iar în câmpul "to" se introduce QTH locatorul corespondentului, de exemplu KN25MM, (o staţie dislocată pe vf. Păpuşa, aproximativ 45º30'17''N - 25º03'40''E). Rezultatul afişat va fi 76 km distanţă între staţii şi 10º unghiul de orientare a antenei faţă de nord, date valabile pentru locaţia proprie, KN24KU. Inversând locaţiile din câmpurile "from" (acum KN25MM) şi "to" (acum KN24KU), vor fi afişaţi parametrii valabili pentru staţia dislocată pe vf. Păpuşa, distanţa fiind, normal, aceeaşi, dar orientarea antenei va fi de 191º. Practic, (şi teoretic, evident) în al doilea caz orientarea antenei la a doua locaţie trebuie să fie să fie diametral opusă, deci la 180º faţă de orientarea antenei din prima locaţie. După cum se observă, programul dă o oarecare eroare la acest parametru (un grad în acest caz şi până la 3-4 grade în alte situaţii), dar eroarea este absolut insignifiantă pentru scopul vizat.

The location of "from" and "to" sites must be given using (Maidenhead) locator code. For instance locator kp11sn stands for 61.5625 N / 24.5417 E. The locator calculator is a Windows program. It has been built for Windows 3.1. It should work with Windows 3.0 in standard ("286") and enhanced ("386") modes but not in real mode. It may work with Windows NT and OS/2 v2 Windows 3.0 standard mode subsystem. You may freely copy and use this program. You may not sell this program. (Not that anyone would pay anything to get this very little program...) There is no guarantee at all. What you see is what you get. You may not tamper the original executable.
